Finding My Own Path
In the early days of my career, I didn’t always know what I wanted to do next. Like many people, I tried a variety of roles across different industries, hoping one would feel like the right fit. And, at the time, I hadn’t even heard of career coaching.
I spent a few years temping, exploring options, and picking up valuable lessons along the way. While this gave me plenty of experience, it also made me wish I’d had someone to help me reflect, guide me through my decisions, and figure out what truly mattered in my career.
Discovering My Passion for Helping Others
Eventually, I found myself in recruitment consulting, a role that I really enjoyed. Helping people take positive steps in their careers gave me a sense of purpose. It felt great to see people move forward with confidence and enthusiasm.
Over time, though, my own career path evolved, as they often do, and I moved into human resource management.
Learning from a Decade in HR
Spending more than 10 years in HR was a fantastic learning experience. I gained insights into workplace dynamics, personal development, and the challenges that people face when navigating their careers.
But after a while, I felt ready for something new—something that would let me work more closely with individuals on a personal level.
Why Coaching Is So Rewarding
That’s when career coaching became the perfect fit for me. What I enjoy most about coaching is seeing those lightbulb moments in my clients—when they realise what they truly want from their work and how they can move toward it.
It’s so rewarding to help people reflect, grow in self-awareness, and feel excited about their future.
Turning Experience into Guidance
For me, being a career coach is about using my own experiences to guide others. I love helping people move from feeling stuck to finding a career they love.
It’s a privilege to walk alongside them on their journey, and it inspires me every day.
